Basic Information:
The CCHS musical has been "up and running" for decades. Mr. Jim Skiba Our new director is Mr. James Skiba.  He's directed many high school and community playhouse productions including those for Hartford, Kettle Moraine, and Wauwatosa West High Schools, and the Hartford Players, Lake Country Players, and the Theater on Main in Oconomowoc.  He is an architect by training but has been doing shows since high school.

The CCHS musical is open to students of every grade and skill level.  Each show involves acting, singing, dancing, and technical skills.  There really is something for everyone!  The only requirements Mr. Skiba expects are excellent attendance, good attitude, and superior effort! Each student involvedin the musical on stage receives 1/2 of a fine arts credit, and the stage and technical crews receive 1/4 credit. Past musicals include Footloose, South Pacific, and Little Shop of Horrors. Every year, musical crew also enjoys an "enrichment field trip". Students involved in the musical get to go (for minimal cost) to a professional musical.

The show this year is going to be Wizard of Oz.

Auditions for musical are usually held in October with rehearsals starting in November, going through December, January, and February. The productions are in February.  The date of productions depends on when Easter break falls.  After the show is cast, members practice 3-5 times a week, culminating in six performances for the public and two for feeder schools.

Every year, the musical also has it’s own board entitled Just Off Broadway. This board includes only parental volunteers and the director. All profits from the CCHS musical are given to the school. The musical is a line item in the school budget. Over the last 10 years, musical has given CCHS over $100,000. Not only is it a fun, educational experience, but everyone involved is helping out the school.
