Health: (911)  Sophomore/Junior/Senior Elective 1 Semester .5 credits. Students will learn about all aspects of health. Units will be devoted to physical fitness and nutrition, mental and emotional health, family and social health, relationships, abstinence, growth and development, medicines and drugs, diseases and disorders, consumer and environmental health, and first aid.

Physical Education 1 (910) & 2 (920): Freshman Requirement 1 Semester .5 credit. At this level, the major attention is based on fitness and individual/team activities such as touch football, team handball, basketball, softball, volleyball, floor hockey, ultimate Frisbee, badminton, pickleball, and track. The purpose of these activities is to help foster desirable character and personality traits to improve interpersonal relationships and to improve spectator understanding of these games.

Physical Fitness:(921) Freshman/Sophomore/Junior/Senior Elective 1 Semesters .5 credits. Students will be required to learn and design their own fitness plan of weight training, circuit training, and stationary bike riding. The class will meet 3 days a week in the fitness center, during the zero hour class period. Students will be required to change into fitness clothes and tennis shoes on a regular basis.

Summer Physical Fitness: (###) Sophomore/Junior/Senior Elective 6 weeks .5 credits Course Fee: $150. This course may be taken in the place of Phtsical education one or two. The “health club” format of this course will require students to develop, track, and complete a fitness plan over the course of 6 weeks in June and July. Students will be required to spend 75 minutes, four days each week (Monday – Thursday between 8am – 11am) at the Catholic Central athletic facilities. There will be an additional 2 hour activity requirement each weekend in which students will be responsible to individually exercise and then log their activities. There will be no class the week of June 30 – July 6, however students will be responsible to complete and log 7 hours of activity that week. There is a course fee of $150 to enroll in Summer Physical Fitness and a separate Summer Physical Fitness registration form.
